The Others

If you havent already seen the others, you really need to. It's one of the best movie's I've ever seen. There is a suprise ending. I just love the movie. I saw it three times already. hehe

i'm sorry but I totally disagree. For one, the film hardly kept my intrest with such dull characters and had unimaginative imagery of the house using only dull lights and bland colours which made it hard to focus on what I was supposed to be looking at.
Second, the ending was so cliche. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but if you have seen the Sixth Sense, then don't expect a different climax.
I heard great things about it but I have to say that I was unimpressed.

"The Others" was a decent horror flick. The ending was okay too, I mean it's not "The Exorcist" but it was chilling mostly, even if my attention wandered to what Nicole Kidman would look like (Oh wait already saw that)

How can you say it's horror. It came across as more of a thriller to me. Although my two buds that I saw it with jumped and welped like little girls when that old lady made her first appearance. Anyway, it was too slow in alot of parts for my taste.

The others is a good horror film. It harkens back to a day when stupid slasher flicks with actors from dawsons creek getting killed were not passed off as horror. I have to admit that it had the 6th sence ending but was still very surprising and well done. See it and enjoy.

Wolfwood you're right I should have chosen my words more carefully. It was more of a Thriller per se but it was a haunted house movie. BTW if you wanna see one of the best Thrillers ever see Se7en or Kiss the s. Both were amazing

others wasnt scary, the ending was just thrown in to try and outdo 6th sense. it was clever but wasnt pinpointed enough throughout the movie like the 6th sense was. **1/2 stars.

Admittedly, the ending was a bit too close to the Sixth Sense to overlook it entirely, but it was still a top notch horror film. It's probably the least awful movie I've seen all summer.

The Others was an old fashioned scary movie, no computer effects, no blue screening, no floating figures, just pure practical on-set effects to get you scared. The lighting was dull and the colros were bland for a purpose, it was supposed to be that way in order to set the mood for the setting and story.

Good film, old school style.
